The Beauty & Hype of Bowl Season

Should the College Football Playoffs expand to 12 teams?  Absolutely.  I believe that in my heart of hearts.  The top six ranked conference champions + the six highest remaining schools.  However, that’s a topic for a different day.
For now, let’s talk Bowl Season (@bowlseason).  The beauty is behind the simplicity.  Schools earn bids to close out their season on a positive.  Have the opportunity to travel to a destination most have never experienced.  Then, on top of it, there is so much more for both the players and fans to experience than just playing the game.
Bowl Season truly is an interactive working between the fans, the teams and the staff of each and every bowl game.  It provides so much more than a final game between two teams.  Communities come together to showcase their city and add some fun to the holiday season.
Let’s dive in with just a few examples of what else is being offered by these bowl games than just a game:
  • Frisco Bowl (Frisco, TX) – Student Sideline Reporter; Texas-sized team barbecue dinner
  • Liberty Bowl (Memphis, TN) – Beale Street Parade and Pep Rally
  • Texas Bowl (Houston, TX) – Rodeo Bowl (rodeo themed shenanigans between the teams)
  • Sun Bowl (El Paso, TX) – Fan Fiesta
  • Pinstripe Bowl (Bronx, NY) – All the sights & sounds of NYC including 9/11 Memorial
  • Holiday Bowl (San Diego, CA) – Holiday Bowl Parade; Harbor Front 5K
  • Famous Idaho Potato Bowl (Boise, ID) – Mash Bash; Family Field Day
  • Arizona Bowl (Tucson, AZ) – Pep Rally; Tailgate Festival; New Year’s Celebration & Countdown
College Football fans are passionate, loyal and always excited about what’s next.  Bowl Season provides just that to the teams and their fans.  The 2021-2022 Bowl Season fully welcomes back the fans and all the glory and greatness that will come with it.  From teams searching for their first ever bowl victory, to teams looking finish the season with a possible 10th win, to concluding their season on January 1st, the bowl extravaganza is an amazing three weeks out of the year.
Bottom line is this, Bowl Season offers something different and unique than any other sport.  With speculations and projections now occurring, fans (and teams) have begun looking into travel destinations as part of their holiday itinerary.  It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!
