Goodbye Dwayne Haskins

Goodbye Dwayne Haskins. This is not a very sad day for fans of WTF. We all knew this day was coming. Haskins career in Washington is coming to an end with his demotion to third string QB. It is warranted. A career 59.6% completion rate, 4.52 adjusted net yards per attempt, 11 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and only 3 victories in 13 career games is not impressive. Haskins does play hard and with passion. I do believe his teammates give him their all. It just isn’t enough to win in the NFL. Obviously, Coach Ron Rivera has seen enough inaccuracy, lack of situational awareness (throwing short on 4th down) and interceptions (Cleveland).
It’s not all Haskins’ fault. The WTF offense is truly offensive. It lacks NFL talent. With the exception of Terry McLaurin, the WTF offense does not have one player that could start for another NFL team. Haskins has no help. He needs to go to a team where he can sit on the bench and learn how to use his cannon arm productively. Maybe he can improve his accuracy, reading defenses, maturity and just understanding football. I’m sorry, but there is no 5th down, Dwayne. Haskins is a career NFL back-up. He is more Byron Leftwich and less Ben Roethlisberger, and there is nothing wrong with a career NFL backup gig. Just ask Robert Griffin about it. The pay is pretty good.
